Gateway Donates Olympic Computers
In support of their commitment to socially responsible corporate citizenship, following the completion of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City, Gateway will donate up to 4,500 computers.
Grant consideration is limited to eligible organizations recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a nonprofit entity, with priority given to schools and community centers whose programs help enhance access to technology for traditionally under-served communities.

HP Recalls Printer Power Cords
HP has sent a recall notice for the following printers:

Photosmart 1000 series, 1100 series, 1200 series, 1300 series |
This affects only power cords which are gray and which have Longwell imprinted on the cord and/or prong area.

We Are Still Accepting Surveys!
As a follow-up to the Financial Realities in 2002 conference, the Center for Nonprofit Excellence and Info Line are surveying nonprofits to determine the impact of the events of 2001 on their organizations. The Housing Network with Second National Bank and The University of Akron Center for Policy Studies present the Third Annual Housing Symposium on March 28 & 29. The Verizon Foundationthe philanthropic arm of Verizon Communications-is helping northeast Ohio nonprofits improve their use of computer technology by paying for their Project Connect training. Each eligible organization can apply for training for 3 staff members per organization; 3 classes per application; 3 applications per year.
