Project Connect's mission is to empower northeast Ohio nonprofits to serve more people through technology and connectivity. On a periodic basis, we check with you--the nonprofits we serve--to report to our funders, evaluate our progress, and direct our efforts for the coming year. Verizon Foundation Simplifies the Application Process for Free Classes The Verizon Foundation has made significant changes to its application process, making it much easier to apply for free classes for Project Connect. To see the new format, visit http://foundation.verizon.com/etraining. The Verizon Foundation—the philanthropic arm of Verizon Communications—is helping northeast Ohio nonprofits improve their use of computer technology by paying for their Project Connect training. Each eligible organization can apply for training for 3 staff members per organization; 3 classes per application; 3 applications per year.

FREE Seminar: Technology Strategies for Nonprofit Leaders Project Connect has partnered with NPower to bring free technology management seminars to northeast Ohio. On February 21st and 24th (a Monday and Friday), experts from NPower will present "Technology Strategies for Nonprofit Leaders." "Technology Strategies" is a one-and-a-half day management-level training designed to meet the unique technology needs of nonprofit organizations. Nonprofit managers will learn how to take a proactive stance when it comes to their organization’s technology. This workshop will help you demystify technology by learning how to evaluate and assess what your organization needs to use technology to meet your mission. The workshop content is not technical, and you do not have to have any specific technical skills or knowledge to attend. The NPower National Network is made up of independent, community-based organizations dedicated to helping nonprofits better serve their communities through technology. Through a generous grant from the SBC Excelerator program, the NPower Network and its partners will be offering hands-on technology services and training to nonprofits in SBC's 13 operating states. This project will help small and medium sized nonprofits use technology to work smarter, reach higher, and provide more of their great services!
