THE EMERGENCY HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (E-HEAP) CAN HELP PAY THE COST OF HEATING YOUR HOME
If you are eligible, you may receive one regular HEAP benefit per season and could also be eligible for an emergency HEAP benefit if you are in impending danger of running out of fuel or having your utility service shut off. The program serves income-eligible households in Summit who are at or below 175% of the federal poverty guideline.

E-HEAP provides up to $175 in assistance once per heating season to income eligible households that are disconnected, threatened with disconnection, new service or if service is being transferred. Bulk fuel clients may be eligible for up to $750 to fill the tank if there is less than a 25% supply of bulk fuel.
Household must be at or below 175% of the federal poverty guideline to be eligible.

WALK-IN EVENTS – NO APPOINTMENTS NECESSARY
for households whose gas or electric is OFF, customers transferring utility service, and those with less than 25% supply of bulk fuel.
