Ohio Veterans Bonus is available to those who served since October 7th 2001

OHIO VETERANS BONUS

If you have more than 90 days active duty, not for training, since October 7th, 2001 and  were resident in OH when you entered the military and are resident in OH now (or when you apply) and you did not receive a similar payment from another state

THEN YOU MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE OHIO VETERANS BONUS

Afghanistan War Bonus applications do not yet have a closing date and are for service from October 7th, 2001 to a date not yet specified.

The deadline to apply for the Persian Gulf (8/2/1990-3/3/1991) and Iraq (3/19/2003-12/31/2011) Bonus has expired.

The Ohio Veterans Bonus is open to veterans who served anywhere else in the world or in Afghanistan since October 7th, 2001. It is also open to the next of kin of those who were killed in action or died of disease as a result of in-country service.
